Keval Shah fully understands the assignment when he narrates this funny, sexy, action-packed story of good vs. evil. Or dim vs. dimmer, as the case might be. It's never a good day when one wakes up with no memory and then learns one is an evil wizard. With all the problems his previous self left him with, Dread Lord Gavrax has picked a fine time to start being "good." Shah's cheeky tone and British accent set the scene beautifully in this completely unserious fantasy world. His character voices sound cartoonishly evil, seductive and feminine, prim and proper, or groveling as needed. With Shah's impeccable comedic timing and adult jokes that go over kids' heads, this makes a fantastic audiobook for a family road trip. S.S.
